A Smile Interupted

Hullo again! This time from Bangkok, Thailand. Just flew in last night from Baltimore, MD. I was staying with my cousins there, and it was just so much fun. This picture is of my cousin, Tara Macdonald.




I like this picture, because it's kind of unfinished. She has the hugest grin on her face, with her arm outstretched, but you can't see what else is going on. Which leaves a lot to your own personal interpretation.

I'd like to say that I came up with this "idea" myself, but I actually did not. A photographer who I found out about a year ago on a website called www.weeklyshot.org (great site, if you have time, check it out) took a picture like this. The website has weekly themes, and photographers around the world interpret these themes in different ways. The theme for this particular picture was called "one half". Justin Gaynor took a similar picture, and it was form here that I drew my inspiration for this one.
