A Sip of Life

Here's another one from the boat. My dad's friend's son Aidan, who, through visits to Nepal, and visits to Tacoma has become one of my own friend's, took this picture. He was just experimenting with my camera.
You may not be able to see, but in the glass from which I am drinking is red wine. My dad's friend (Mark, for future reference) is somewhat of a connoisseur, particularly of wine. I think he has some French blood in him. We sampled some of his collection of fine wines, and I realized that it is my preferred alcoholic drink. I haven't tried that many (Honestly!) but form what I have tried, wine is my favorite. Mark also taught me how to drink wine, for there is a right way and a wrong way. I really enjoyed this overnight trip, partially because of the wine! Wine is not drunk to get drunk. If you're doing that, then you're doing it the wrong way. It is meant to be sipped, tasted, smelt, enjoyed bit by bit, and that is what I really love. Fine wine, great conversation, great food, all add up to a very good time in my book.
