Spiraling Fire

Hullo, Hullo, once again, this time from "the enchanted Isle", more commonly known as Hilton Head, South Carolina. I've been here for the past few days, relaxing (I haven't had enough of it yet, so I'm savoring it while it lasts!), swimming, and just enjoying. I was just in Oregon, about 2 hours south of Portland, visiting my Dad's family. It was great fun, seeing cousins, aunts, uncles, grand-parents, uncle-in law's. This shot was taken on the 4th of July, and it's of my cousin.

We bought a box of fireworks, and my cousin here insisted that we buy a box of sparklers, and that is what she was waving. I had her wave it around, while I tuned down the shutter speed to 1.6, and snapped it. The result was, as you can see above, quite interesting. I took a lot of photos with this slow shutter speed, changing the amount of it, with varying results.

I like the spiral that she made with it, coincidentally illuminating and framing her face in the middle. I wasn't sure how much to crop of this photo, so I spent a good amount of time changing it around, hehe. Anywho, I think it turned out alright

I'll post more later, because I have even more pics that I took somewhere else to post
